Pontinia's water tower was built in 1935 to a design by the architect Oriolo Frezzotti, four bands of red brick cut by white scallops, and it is the one structure that identifies the town at a glance.

I drew the facade myself rather than working from a photograph or the original plans, which let me reduce the building to the lines that carry it and print it tone on tone at the scale of a shirt. The women's side wore it through a season that took them to Game 3 of the Scudetto playoff semifinal.
