Ouroboros, the serpent that eats its own tail, is one of the oldest symbols we have. It runs from Egyptian funerary texts through Greek alchemy and carries the same idea throughout, a cycle that feeds itself and ends where it begins.
The team took the name, so the kit is built out of the creature rather than printing a logo on a chest. Scales run across the body and break into red at the collar and sleeves, where the garment meets the player, so the graphic reads as skin. On the back the same scales are assembled into a totem framing the nickname.
The lettering is drawn for this kit. Stock sports faces are neutral by design, and neutral was the wrong answer here.
